A NEW multi-use games area has been launched at the University Hospital Llandough to promote health and wellbeing.

The hospital has partnered with the the Cardiff City FC Foundation to offer taster sessions to service users and staff, in a bid to promote physical activity, social interaction and fun.

A number of sessions have already been hosted in the new purpose-built multi-use games area at Hafan y Coed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.

The sessions were led by the team with an emphasis on teaching participants football skills in a fun and engaging way.

It is hoped that through carrying out the sessions, participants will have conducted more activity than they may have done recently, but also feel inspired to want to do more moving forward.

The Cardiff City FC Foundation is a registered charity affiliated to Cardiff City Football Club. Their mission is to use the brand of Cardiff City Football Club to change lives and inspire members of the community to become more active, included, healthy and knowledgeable.
