THE LAUNCH of a music event in aid of a cystic fibrosis centre was held last week.

Inhale The Music was launched at University Hospital Llandough on Thursday (March 2) in aid of the Better Life Appeal which supports the all adult cystic fibrosis centre at the hospital.

The main event will see the band Hegsy and The Elements perform four concerts in four hospitals across Wales in five days to raise money for the appeal from April 17-21.

The band performed at the opening last week, as did the Louise Ryan Vocal School which is a choir of over 30 voices aged between eight and 24 years old.

Joan Hoctor of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was also in attendance.

There was a video message from the charity's number one supporter and patron the channel five presenter Matthew Wright.

Nathan Wyburn and Wayne Courtney from the Cardiff Times have also supported the campaign from the beginning and sent a video message of their own.

Beth Clarke from the Better Life Appeal said: "It was a full house on the night and everyone seemed to leave with a smile on their faces.
