THE Dinas Powys Library and Activity Centre has welcomed Assembly Members Jane Hutt and Julie Morgan to their Lego Club, where the pair made a donation towards the library's upkeep.
As well as learning about the functions of the Lego Club, the two AMs were also treated to tea and Welsh cakes before Jane Hutt presented volunteers with a cheque for £100, to help towards the centre's ongoing costs.
The pair had been invited to attend by Jaiden Morgan – the grandson of Julie Morgan – who attends the Lego Club after school every Monday.
Chris Franks, chairman of the Independent Library Trustees, said their support was immensely welcome.
"Jane’s gift was much appreciated," he said.
"We run a number of activities as well as issuing books and DVDs. Come and see what we have on offer or even think about becoming a volunteer or a friend of the library."
Vale AM Jane Hutt said: "I was invited to help raise funds for the library by Jaiden Morgan, who attends the Lego Club after school on a Monday.
"I congratulate the 46 volunteers who run Dinas Powys Library so successfully with events like this and encourage the whole community to support this fantastic local service."
