A TEAM of Penarth-based legal experts claim the “sky’s the limit” after celebrating their latest award win.

CJCH Solicitors’ senior partners Tim Hartland, Stephen Clarke, and Jacqui Seal, along with merger and acquisition specialist and chief financial officer of the firm Nick Wootton, are celebrating after being awarded the Financial and Professional Services Business of the Year accolade at this year’s Cardiff Business Awards.

The four executives, all from Penarth, said it was a “privilege” to claim the award for the first time, after being nominated alongside long-standing Welsh firms including Howells Legal, Quantum Advisory and Wynne-Jones IP.

The win tops off a period of on-going growth for the firm, which was established 30 years ago, and also marks international success for its specialist anti-piracy arm CJCH Consulting.

Senior partner Mr Clarke said the firm was “thrilled” with the latest award, which he claims is the culmination of years of dedication by his colleagues along with continued support from the local community.

He said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive the Financial and Professional Services Business of the Year award at this year’s Cardiff Business Awards.

“To be recognised alongside such an exceptional group of professionals is a privilege and we would like to congratulate them on both their nomination and their continuous work towards making Cardiff a global player in the business market.”

CFO Nick Wootton added: “CJCH has grown significantly over the past 30 years and it has been a privilege to watch it grow into one of the UK’s most successful and diverse firms. We firmly believe that the sky is the limit and we look forward to what the future brings.

“This award would not have been possible without the 120 members of the CJCH family along with the fantastic support of the communities we work with throughout Wales.”

Mr Clarke added:“For myself and the other senior colleagues we are proud to live in Penarth and feel there is a real sense of community there which is unlike many other areas. Its independent businesses and close-knit community create a safe haven for entrepreneurial innovation, which is something I feel sets it apart.

“As such we are dedicated to using our success to support the continued growth of Penarth and we’d like to thank the people and businesses for accepting us with open arms.”
