LOOKING to get ahead in the business world? Frank Loesser’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, the latest musical production by Concept Players, is set to energise and entertain audiences across The Paget Rooms Stage from March 1 to 3.

Currently playing to packed houses on Broadway (starring Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff), this light-hearted musical satire of 1960s corporate America traces the journey of window washer J Pierrepont Finch, who rockets to the top of World Wide Wickets after he finds a life-altering book, entitled How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Things are looking up as he earns promotion after promotion and, along the way, catches the eye of a pretty young secretary.

Unfortunately, Finch's miraculous book can't help him when the boss' nephew tricks him into backing a doomed ad campaign. With livelihood and love on the line, Finch will have to rely on his own wits to come out on top.

Written by the brilliant Frank Loesser, this definitive, Tony Award winning musical comedy about high life in the city features an inspired score, packed with such hits as I Believe in You, Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm, The Company Way, Been a Long Day, and the show-stopping Brotherhood of Man.

How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying opened to critical acclaim on Broadway in October 1961, running for 1,417 performances. The show won seven Tony awards including best musical and best book; the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for best musical; a Grammy for best original cast show album; and is one of only eight musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Since forming in 1994, the award-winning Concept Players, have steadily grown into one of South Wales’ most innovative and sometimes daring amateur theatre companies. This production comes hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed Company, The Mikado, and And Then There Were None, which played to great audiences across South Wales.

Concept Players have built a reputation for quality productions with an innovative streak. This exciting and colourful production is proof of that.
