AT THE Annual Review evening for the Les Pugh's Own ESU, Lucien Boudier was awarded the Award of Merit by the District Commissioner, Julian Jordan, for his many years of service to Scouting in Penarth.

Lucien has held a number of roles in Scouting and has also been involved in many district-run event over the years.

As Assistant Explorer Scout Leader, 'Boo' has supported the unit fully with international camps, numerous camps in the UK, climbing and much more, and has completed more than 26 years with the Scout Movement.

The Award for Merit, formerly the Medal of Merit, worn with a green neck ribbon and emblems or brooches with a green knot, would normally be awarded after a period of not less than 12 years, but exceptionally after 10 years of outstanding service while holding adult appointments.
