A verse for the new year TRUST ME

AS we enter into a new year we may feel nervous or excited. A mixture of emotions and a time of reflection whilst celebrating the coming year. I have written the following poem to encourage your readers to put their trust in a faithful God.

Just put your trust in me.

As the old year ends it may have been a friend, Or to some a time of sorrow, Our Saviour is with us till life’s end, And will hold us till tomorrow.

God cares for all his children, So come on bended knee, And ask him to walk with you, He says put your trust in me.

The winter lies before us, But soon will be the spring, And as the days get slowly lighter, Much joy to us he brings.

For the seed that has been planted, Many years ago, God’s tears have gently watered, And in faith he’s seen you grow.

So do not be disheartened, Your dreams are safe with me, And I will keep them in my heart, And for eternity.

So live each day with gladness, In purity and love, For surely I have gone before, To make a place above.

Heaven is rejoicing, As souls return to him, So let’s fill our hearts with goodness, As the new year enters in.
