THE Penarth Petanque Club will be holding their 5th annual book sale this year, thanks to their friends, supporters and the community of Penarth, and once again we ask for your help.

This fundraising event enables our members, especially our juniors, a little financial support to represent Penarth and Wales in competitions both national and international.

If any readers have books, including football and rugby sports magazines, CDs and DVDs they would like to donate, we would be happy to collect.

We all need to make space every now and again, even if it’s only to fill it up again.

Your generosity every year has been astounding and we are very grateful.

The book sale will take place on June 21 at Albert Road Methodist Church and Community Centre from 10am to 2pm and we look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it. We offer refreshments as well as lovely homemade cakes.

As always we would welcome anyone who would like to try out petanque at the Kymin, Penarth, any Sunday.

We are there from 11am until 1pm, so do come at any time during that period and throw a few boules around – we always have spares.

For book collections, please contact Jean-Yves on 029 2040 4795.
