I LIVE in St Annes Avenue and have rugby and football pitches next to my garden and people park in our road.
I also have four grandsons who play golf, cricket, rugby and hockey. I can say playing sport has helped to keep them on the straight and narrow. They have learned more from playing in a team sport than any text book.
They are now all grown up, still playing sport. My one grandson plays hockey for Penarth and their home pitch is Barry ... a disgrace to our town.
To all those people, probably newcomers to the area shame on you for trying to block the astro pitch for Stanwell Comprehensive School.
It gives me a great deal of pleasure to watch children of all ages taking part in active sport throughout the year.
To all the people who manage the teams in all winds and weather I salute you.
