FOUR children took part in the Service of Commemoration at St Augustine's Church last week. They were: Calan Cross (aged 12) from Stanwell School who read part of the Ode to Remembrance, Elis Cross (aged 10) from Albert Primary School, and Rhodri Lewis (age 10) from Ysgol Pen-y-Garth, who both escorted the wreath bearer. Joshua Lews (age six) from Ysgol Pen-y-Garth laid the wreath on behalf of the children of Penarth. It was good to see children taking part in the service and they all performed their respective roles with great dignity. We apologise for not including their names in the report on the service last week, but we are delighted to hear that they enjoyed taking part and apparently the Archbishop made a huge impression on them!
Yours faithfully
Tricia Griffiths, chair, Friends of St Augustine's
