SO A TV presenter and a wine company decided last Friday to swoop down on our beach to tell us what we already know, that we keep our beach clean?
Perhaps if they had bothered to contact us we could have as saved them a visit and even pointed them in to a more useful venue (although it may not have had such a good publicity angle) the stretch of beach near the barrage or Lavernock for example.
Penarth beach wardens are a small group of dedicated volunteers who regularly sweep the beach for rubbish all through the year (including the cold winter months We don't need a t-shirt or a glass of wine as an incentive, we just need a black bag and a pair of gloves.
