MAY I thank the people of Penarth for taking the time to phone to help me find my cat Norman, everyone has been so kind. Unfortunately he still isn’t home. But could I just remind the very few people who may not know the reason we microchip our pets is so that if they are lost or injured they can be reunited with their owners. Any animal can be taken to any vet or SHUA (Safe House for Unwanted Animals) in Sully and they will scan them free of charge. Also the council will collect any deceased animals and they have the scanning facility as well.
Norman is microchipped.
I am advising of this because I was told that a cat that might resemble Norman was hit by a car and had unceremoniously been thrown out with the general rubbish.
I don’t know if this was definitely my Normy and probably never will, the words thoughtless, mindless and totally irresponsible come to mind!
