IS Penarth becoming a no-go area for pedestrians? All around the town, cars are parked on the pavement, not just two wheels, but in many cases all four wheels, even on junctions making it very difficult for both pedestrians’ and drivers to see oncoming traffic.
More things are being placed on the pavement, telecoms and cable boxes, mobile masts etc. The footpaths have been narrowed on bridges so that barriers can be placed on the kerb edge (though I don't know why it’s any more dangerous on bridges than any other walkway). Mobility must be very difficult for the blind, people in wheelchairs and anyone pushing a pram.
Come on; let’s reclaim the pavements to walk on.
