I WOULD like to extend a very warm welcome to all the Penarth Times readers to a feast of musical entertainment to be held next week (Monday July 6 – Sunday 12).
Lunchtime concerts will be held every day from Monday to Friday between 1-2pm and concert goers can bring their lunch and enjoy the music from the mezzanine gallery or downstairs.
The church is fully accessible to disabled people including a lift to the gallery. Teas, coffees and cold drinks will be provided and admission is free although any donations towards the All Saints Organ Fund will be gratefully received.
The Music at Lunchtime concerts (summer and autumn) are now in their third year and have increased in popularity each time.
Music lovers will be treated this summer to the baritone voice of Richard Parry along with his friends, the piano playing of Lucas Dwyer, the beautiful music of the Lux Quintet, the guitar playing and songs of John Lewis and Nick Treharne and the varied talent of Nigel Lloyd-Latham and friends.
The week of music culminates with an organ recital on Sunday afternoon (July 12) by the All Saints organist and choirmaster, James Bull.
We hope to welcome large audiences this summer and I look forward to seeing you all there.
