CALLING all Classical Music fans!
Amidst all the excitement of the Penarth Festival one amazing event may have been missed by some.
The second Penarth Chamber Music Festival took place in the wonderful setting of the Pier, which resounded to a classical music feast, held over four days. Organised by David Adams, leader of the Welsh National Opera Orchestra and his wife, the cellist, Alice Neary, the music ranged from Duo to Septet, as they were joined by other instrumentalists of international standing, who thrilled us with a programme of delights, designed to appeal to all ages - there was even a children's concert. Plans are already in hand for a third festival, in mid-July 2016.
