I am hoping to make to make contact with someone who knows about the above pilot and what happened to him. My father PWL Hutchinson was one of the 3 crew members. The plane was a Vickers Warwick on a test flight west from RAF Dunkeswell that, on the way back, was ditched in the sea off Porthcawl because engines cut out and could not be restarted. My father also lost his life that day, almost 70 years ago November 9th. My mother, who died recently, always said that the plane went down over the Bay Of Biscay in a storm. Possibly someone who knows of Pilot Officer Ford has accurate facts about what happened. I would be most grateful for any information sent to my email address below. Many thanks in advance.
