APPROXIMATELY two weeks ago, while checking out the lipstick counter at Boots in Penarth, I toppled over and fell to the ground.
A group of female shoppers came to my assistance.
As I was already nursing a broken elbow, my instinct was to stay where I had fallen until I felt confident to move.
My rescuers were eager to get me upright, I insisted I was OK and could manage.
In retrospect I might have been curt and appear ungrateful.
This was not so. I needed to judge my own ability to move.
This is an apology and a belated thank you the good Samaritans.
