THIS coming Saturday, March 1, the Penarth Seniors Club will be meeting at their hall in Arcot Street at 2pm where this week they will be holding a St David's Day theme with a guest entertainer and tea and Welsh cakes.

The club is open to all folks who are 50 plus and meet every other Saturday from 2.15pm. Their members enjoy afternoons with guest speakers, singers quizzes and outings to local places of interest throughout the year.

During the last year the club has seen an increase of people coming from Penarth, Sully, Dinas Powys and Llandough. Our older members rely on transport to and from the club, whilst we use the East Vale Mini Buses, we sadly do not at present have a drivers to transport the members due to our present driver having to take time out due to work commitments.

It would be a shame to see the club close if members are unable to get to the club. If anyone would be interested in helping to transport our folks to and from the club either twice a month or on a rota we would love to hear from you. We are also interested in hearing from people who would be interested in helping run the club, as this is the one of the longest running club in the area which has been open to folks for almost 70 years and would be shame to see it close.

If you feel you can help in any way or would like further information, please contact Sue Stephens on 029 2022 9101 or 07970 317794.
