MEMBERS of Sully U3A were entertained at their April meeting by the Singing for Pleasure Group.

Although the Group has taken part in social events and sung for local organisations, it has never performed a concert for members.

The Group has over 40 members and performed a wide-ranging programme of songs including works by John Rutter and songs from the shows. They were conducted by their leader, Rosemary Cook, and accompanied by Christopher Fossey.

Chairman, Jean Bispham, who is also a member of the Group, thanked the choir and Rosemary for such an entertaining programme.

Rosemary is currently Mayor of Penarth and a retiring collection was made in aid of her two charities, the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Forget-me-Not Chorus.

The next monthly meeting will be on Thursday, May 12 t 2pm in The Old School, Sully, when the speaker will be John Winton of Sanctaidd who will be talking on Glamorgan Churches. New members are always welcome at these meetings.
