A 'CIRCUS themed' family fun day was held in Penarth recently, raising £700 for the town mayor's chosen charities.

Councillor Rosemary Cook hosted the event at the Kymin on Saturday (April 23).

Among attractions on the day was a giant slide, crafts, dressing up, music, games, tots treasure time, circus play sessions, mini golf, face-painting, and food.

Funds were raised for Teenage Cancer Trust Wales and the Forget me not Chorus.

Local businesses were among those to contribute to the event.

Cllr Cook said: "I would like to thank the community for supporting to the event and all the local businesses which took part.

"Also, thank you to Ceri Lambert Designs who sponsored and organised the event on behalf of the town council."
