THE BROOKS twins have congratulated their X Factor replacements, girl group Four of Diamonds.

Josh and Kyle, known as Brooks Way, left the show earlier this week amid claims that 17-year-old Josh had been physically violent to a former girlfriend.

Although the Penarth pair have said that "not everything that has been claimed is true", they announced their departure from the show.

With their replacements being confirmed as four piece girl band Four of Diamonds, the Brooks boys tweeted their congratulations from their official account.

Earlier this week they tweeted: "Today, we have had a tough day with a false allegation. Don't believe everything you read, both Amelia (Josh's ex-girlfriend) and Josh will be stating the truth. The truth always wins."

Yesterday (Monday, October 10) Josh tweeted: "By mutual consent, we feel like it was best to walk away from the show this year. While not everything that has been claimed is true.

"I would like to apologise to everyone involved. And would like to thank everyone for there ongoing support and love.

"A huge thank you to the team at The X Factor and ITV for all your hard work and all you have done the last two years for us.

"And the final 10,we have loved every second of this journey with you all. We love you all dearly and wish you the best of luck. Miss you all."

They also tweeted a message to the Four of Diamonds saying: "So so happy for you girls You deserve it."
