DODGEBALL has hit Wales!

Seen the Movie? Want to try something new? Never played before?

Now is your opportunity to get involved in one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and would be players are being invited to sign up now.

The aim of the game is simple. To eliminate all the players on the opposing team by either hitting them with the ball or catching a ball they throw at you. Matches start with six players on each team and three balls in the middle of the court.

Your team's three fastest runners then race to the centre line to try and retrieve them for your team. Then you simply follow the five Ds; Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and……….. Dodge.

It's so easy to pick up and there's always an experienced hand to guide you through the finer details of the game as you play.

Cardiff Dragons Dodgeball Club was founded in April 2014 by player/coach Andrew Blower who said: " We are going from strength to strength with new members joining every week.

"We’ve got such a great group of players, some of whom have represented Wales internationally, helping out our newer members who are fresh to the sport. "We’ve put excellent foundations in place even securing funding from Sport Wales.

"We are currently in pre-season training for our first competitive season which starts in September. Last season we also represented Wales at the UK Championships, finishing 15th overall and putting in the best performance by a Welsh team in history."

Adult sessions (Over 15s) take place every Wednesday from 6.30-8.30pm at Cantonian High School. Fairwater Road, Fairwater, Cardiff, CF5 3JR.

For those travelling, we are just a two minute walk away from Fairwater Train Station.

Sessions cost just £2.50 per week with your first session FREE. Kit can also be purchased but isn't essential for training.
