ON Friday, June 12 Murch Bowling Club, Dinas Powys, celebrated their 25th Anniversary, with a Gala Dinner at The Masonic Hall in Penarth.

Almost 100 members, past and present, together with invited guests, were welcomed by the Club President Mrs Judy Fudge and enjoyed an excellent dinner.

During the meal the founder members were introduced and presented with a Memorial Scroll thanking them for their loyalty and support over the last 25 years.

Judy then regaled some of the notable and funny experiences during this time. We were well entertained by Jacky Webb with the able assistance of one of our male members who, for many reasons should remain nameless.

Judy thanked her committee and especially Eileen Carryer for their hard work and efforts in arranging such an enjoyable evening and hoped the club would go on for another happy and successful 25 years.

The Club would also like to encourage new members to join and enjoy our excellent facilities. If you are interested please contact our Club Secretary on 02920 515568 for more information.
