ON MONDAY, May 23 the Windsor Bowling Club ladies played Penylan away in the Evening League.

The was match played in good spirits. Excellent overall win by Windsor winning by 24 shots. Moyra Owen saved her team with a spectacular last wood to win by three shots.

On Thursday, May 26 the ladies played Cadoxton away in the Afternoon League.

Again the match was played in good spirits with a win on two rinks, ending in an overall draw.

On Tuesday, May 24, the Windsor gentlemen hosted the Devon Tourist Bowls club.

The weather and greens were excellent, the tourists being envious of Windsor's greens. It was a great afternoon and enjoyed by all, with the the tourists who were in fine voice, serenading with an adaptation of a Devonshire folk song to finish the afternoon off.

The result was 3-3 but the tourists had the edge on shot difference.

On May 25 the gentlemen played Rhoose Away in a Munro Cup game. The men's team adapted superbly to the synthetic green and came away 12 points to two.

On May 28, the Windsor gents carried on their rain postponed match against Wyndham Ogmore Vale. This time the match was played in warm sunshine but on rather tricky greens, Windsor lost by three rinks to one, ending their WBA National Club hopes.
