TO GIVE participants a change of course this year Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice in Wales, has moved its annual fundraising Golf Day to the popular Vale Hotel, Golf and Spa resort in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The event takes place on Tuesday, September 4 with the support of Bridgend Ford.

Not only will golfers have an opportunity to play this exciting course - there will also be the chance to win or bid on a number of items generously donated by popular Welsh golfer Bradley Dredge, who was only just recently pipped to the post at the Wales Open held at the Celtic Manor Resort.

Following a good day's golf and excellent dinner, teacher, broadcaster, humorist, top class rugby player and lyricist Phil Steele promises to round off the day with what is sure to be an entertaining interlude.

Bridgend Ford are this year's sponsors of the event which hopes to raise over £10,000 for the children's hospice which provides a very special service to children and teenagers with life limiting conditions and their families throughout Wales.

"We are delighted to be able to support Ty Hafan in this event," said Gary Pesticcio, Managing Director of Bridgend Ford.

"I am sure everyone will have a fantastic day and will welcome the opportunity to play one of the best courses in South Wales."

Teams of four are invited to be part of the day, at a cost of £350 per team, which includes lunch on arrival, a superb dinner and entry into the tournament for four players.

The first teams will tee off at 1pm the rest following at 10 minute intervals with a two tee start.
