UNDER 12’s Dinas Powys Wolves 10+ V Cowbridge 1
On a brisk winters morning at Bryn Y Don the villagers entertained their Vale neighbours Cowbridge. Having grown up through the mini section together both sets of teams have played countless training matches against each and the spirit shown by the players Saturday was there to see.
Dinas started on the front foot attacking in numbers but failing to use the width and the visitors managed to get bodies behind the ball fast. As the half wore on the home side took advantage of some good inter play around the edge of the box and opened the scoring. The second goal followed shortly before Cowbridge pulled one back just before the break.
After a few words at the break Dinas came out and were more patient with the ball and played their passing game. Goals came thick and fast and were spread around the team.
A very good performance from the Villagers and credit to Cowbridge who with a depleted squad gave everything for their coaches.
