THERE were only two matches played again this week in the Penarth Darts League.

Firstly at the Coronation Club the home side created a stir taking on the Station Hotel and coming away with a 10-6 win. Pairs were shared 1-1 with Gary 140 and Anthony 121 x5 taking the first for the Station. Coro took the next with Wayne 100 and Dai 100 x16, Coro took a 6-5 advantage in the singles through Derek 116 x20, x16, Dai 100 100 x1, 100, 140, Owain 100, x20, Wayne 100 x16, 100 and a maximum 180, 80 outshot finishing on x10.

Stations winners were Nathan 100, x5, 140 x10, Lee 100, 100 x8, 136 x18, Anthony 124 x16, so with the Coro only ahead by one point at 7-6 it was all to play for in the team leg.

That was also to go the way of the Coro with Derek 100 and Dai x2 taking the three points, final score Coro 10, Station six.

At the Ex’s Club the B side took on the Lion B side, the Lion showed their early intentions taking the first pairs with Russ on target with 100 and x20, Ian 125 and Dave 123 x2 hit back for the Ex’s B to level the match.

The Ex’s went on to win eight singles points with Paul x4 and 100 x8, Ian 125 x3 and 100 x16, Kevin 100 x18 and 140 121 x16, Dave 123 x20 and x16, Maurice was the sole winner for the Lion B scoring 115 131 x20 and 133.

High scores for the Lion came from Russ 100 100, Paul 100 140, Mitch 100, Maurice continued to play well into the team game hitting 117 and Paul 101 to get to the double first but it was to be the Ex’s evening as Ian took out a timely double four to seal the game at 12- 2 to the Ex’s B.
