MURCH Bowling Club ladies section welcomed Whitchurch to their club on Wednesday, June 1 for a Double Rink match.
This was the first win of the season for Murch and they comfortably won on both rinks with a margin of 14 shots giving an overall score of 37 shots to 23.
Rink 1: A Allen, E Carryer (C), S Wade and skip P Ayres - Murch 17, Whitchurch 11
Rink 2: M Clake, A Croom, M Rice and skip J Garland - Murch 20, Whitchurch 12
The next day, Murch welcomed Cadoxton for an Afternoon League match.
Murch bowlers won two of the three rinks very comfortably, and only lost the third rink by one shot after a very closely contested game. The overall score was Murch 59, Cadoxton 30.
