PENARTH Sea Angling's latest competition on Sunday, July 3, saw a big catch for the first place winner.
Derek Sidaway caught three conger eels weighing 16lb 10oz to claim first.
Second was Dave Harding with a thornback ray weighing 6lb 1oz.
Brendan Davies was third with a 4lb 14oz thornback ray.
Calvin Parker was fourth with 7oz pouting.
Their next competition will be held on Sunday, July 10 as part of the Penarth Holiday Festival. Those competing will fish from the pier and beach from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
