The ladies kicked-off the new year with a nine hole medal
DINAS Powis Golf Club ladies section started their new year competitions on January 10 with a nine hole medal.
The winner was Sue Bridle 45 – 9 = 36 nett, in second was Sian Smith 47 – 10.5 = 36.5 nett and third was Ruth Yates 51 – 12.5 = 38.5 nett on back three from Annie Blackburn 48 - 9.5 = 38.5.
On January 17, a nine hole stableford was played with Sian Smith winning with 17 points, second was Dorothy Amery with 16 points and third was Audrey Harwood with 15 points on the back six from Ruth Yates with 15 points.
On January 24, the ladies by a nine hole medal. First was Lisa Ryley 43 –8 = 35, second Maxine Hird 48 – 12 = 36 and third Ruth Yates 50 - 13 = 37.
