FORMER Newport County midfielder Lee Evans has been called up for the senior Wales squad for the first time.
The academy graduate who is now at Championship Wolves becomes the first player from the reformed Newport County AFC to receive a call-up to the national side.
Evans gets his call as a result of injuries to Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Liverpool's Joe Allen for the qualifiers with Bosnia and Cyprus.
